You have flown to the Coast, and you stay at Sand Island cottages: a family atmosphere, on the sea shore of the Indian Ocean. The sea is a see through. The temperature of the water is ideal, the constant winds cool the air. You enjoy the pace of life.
In your self contained cottage, a cook comes to prepare your meals : you have bought the fish, the crabs or the octopus from the fishermen who come everyday, the same with the vegetable and the fruit.
When you go for your meal, the smell of the coconut rice and the curry wraps you with delight. This is Swahili cuisine, mastered by the cook.
Maybe one day off to Wasini Island, to go snorkeling in the Marine Reserve, above the corals and multi-coloured fish. For lunch, a stop on the island, for a Swahili meal (again!!), an afternoon rest and a visit to the fishermen village, for a chat with the local people.
